Wine

Otium’s vines were first planted in 2007 and our tasting room opened in April of 2012. The winery’s unique interior is what makes the wines so high in quality. The soil, moderate elevations, excellent drainage, and temperate climate are all well suited to produce intense, complex wines. At Otium, our winemaking philosophy is simple: A premium wine is made through year-round holistic efforts in the vineyard, long before it even arrives at the cellar!

Reservations

Reservations are requested for groups of 6 or more especially for indoor seating. Please call the tasting room to make a reservation (540) 338-2027 or visit our >> reservations page. Same day reservations are accepted based on availability.

Outside Food and Beverages

Outside food is permitted outdoors and in our large Bavarian Room and many of our guests love bringing a picnic lunch to enjoy on the property! No outside food is permitted in our primary tasting area.

Under no circumstance are guests permitted to consume any other wine, beer, or alcohol while on Otium Cellars property. This is a zero-tolerance policy; outside alcohol will be confiscated, and guests will be asked to leave the premises.

Indoor Seating

Wein Haus
Wein Haus is our main tasting room with stairs leading to the Loft. Club members may reserve seating in the Wein Haus at no cost. For visitors, Wein Haus seating is first come, first serve. Parties of 6 or more MUST call (540) 338-2027 or submit a reservation request to reserve seating indoors.

The Loft is a reservation only space. A reservation fee will be attached to the bill. Parties of 6 or more MUST call (540) 338-2027 or submit a reservation request to reserve seating indoors.

Bavarian Hall
Club members may reserve indoor seating in the Bavarian Hall at no cost. For visitors, indoor seating is first come, first serve. Parties of 6 or more MUST call (540) 338-2027 or submit a reservation request to reserve seating indoors.

Belvedere

This space is reserved for our guests who are 21+ The Belvedere is the perfect room to sit down with a glass of wine and enjoy the picturesque scenery around Otium Cellars. The room is enclosed by glass windows all around, allowing for immense natural light and beautiful views of the vast rolling hills and vineyards located on the property. There is lounge and table seating available inside for small and large groups alike. Parties of 6 or more MUST call (540) 338-2027 or submit a reservation request to reserve seating indoors.

Outdoor Seating

Veranda by the Vines: Guests may bring their own blankets and lawn chairs for use outdoors.

Patio 
Relax in an Adirondack chair, grab a table or sit by a fire pit on our expansive and relaxing patio. No reservations are required for our spacious patio seating for parties under 8 people. Reservations are required for larger groups of 9 or more. Reservations will not be accepted after 2:00 pm. 

Fire Pits: Fire Pits are available weather permitting and are first come first serve. During the spring, summer and fall we have Fire Pit Fridays during the evening hours.

Pasture
Bring a blanket and relax on our beautiful grounds. Club members may reserve space on the pasture for parties of 15 or less at no cost. Reservations will not be accepted after 2:00 pm. Visitors: No reservations are required for our spacious pasture seating for parties under 10 people. Reservations are required for larger groups of 10 or more. 

Guests may bring their own blankets and lawn chairs for the Pasture seating. 

Pergola
Pergola Patio is a reservation only space. Reservation fee will be attached to the bill.
